Does Camino work on iPhone and Android?
Yes! Camino has native apps for both iOS (syncing seamlessly with Apple Health) and Android (syncing with Health Connect). You don’t need to keep the app open or press start — your daily steps and movement sync automatically in the background.
How does Strava integration work?
You can link your Strava account in Settings with a single tap. Camino automatically ingests your cycling workouts (commutes, road rides, gravel, e-bike, and virtual rides) and turns them into Camino Coins. If you also track cycling via Apple Health or Health Connect, our built-in deduplication engine ensures your kilometres are never counted twice.
How are Camino Coins calculated?
You earn 1 Camino Coin for every 10,000 steps walked, and 1 Camino Coin for every 10 km cycled. Maintaining daily streaks and completing Monday missions unlocks booster multipliers (like 1.5x or 2.0x) that increase your coin yield on active days.
What is the Season Pass and how do Streak Freezes work?
The Season Pass is an 11-tier milestone progression (from Seedling at Day 1 all the way to Emerald at Day 50) that rewards daily consistency with chests containing bonus coins and badges. Equipped Streak Freezes quietly safeguard your streak if you take a rest day or get busy — no guilt, no resetting to zero.
Is Camino really free to use?
Yes, completely. Step tracking, cycling sync, streak progression, neighbourhood leagues, and voucher redemptions are 100% free. Coins can only ever be earned by moving your feet or pedals — there is no way to buy coins or pay to skip the physical activity.
What is Camino’s mission for Copenhagen partners?
Our mission is to support the independent, lesser-known gems that give Copenhagen its character — the neighbourhood corner bakery, the specialty roastery, the single-screen cinema, and the local bike workshop. We do not partner with faceless chains. Instead, we are building a founding partner community of passionate local venues.
How do I redeem a voucher at a counter?
Redeem your voucher in the app once you have earned enough coins. It sits in your digital wallet until you visit the venue. At the counter, show your verification code to the staff. No paper, no scanning hardware, and zero hassle for the venue.
What happens to my health and location data?
Camino is strictly privacy-first. Motion metrics are read solely to verify coin calculations. We never record continuous GPS routes to our servers, never monetize your activity, and never share or sell your data to advertisers.
