Account & Personal Data Deletion

You can delete your Camino account and its data at any time, either inside the app or, if you no longer have the app, by email. This is your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17.
Permanent: deleting your account erases your profile, coin balance, streaks, Season Pass progress, activity history and unredeemed vouchers. It cannot be undone.
Option 1: Delete inside the app (fastest)
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android:
- Open Camino and tap the settings gear at the top right of the Home screen.
- In the Account section, tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. If you signed in a long time ago, the app may ask you to log out and back in first, for your security.
You are signed out immediately and your sign-in account is removed. Our servers then erase the rest of your data automatically, normally within minutes.
Option 2: Request deletion by email (without the app)
If you have uninstalled Camino or cannot open it, send us a deletion request from the email address on your account. The form below drafts that email for you; your request is registered once you send it. We confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted

| Strava | We revoke Camino's access at Strava and delete the stored connection tokens and status. |
| Coins & game progress | Coin balance and coin history, streaks and streak freezes, challenge and Season Pass claims. |
| Social | Your friend links (removed from your friends' lists too), friend requests you received, neighbourhood leaderboard entries and tournament participation. |
| Vouchers | Your voucher wallet and the log of when you displayed a voucher code. |
What we keep
- Claimed voucher codes stay marked as used so a merchant's code is never issued twice. They are no longer linked to you.
- Anonymous totals, such as the number of votes a suggested place received, are kept without any link to you.
- Tournaments you created continue for their other participants until they end.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted infrastructure backups until those backups expire on their normal schedule. They are not used to restore individual accounts.
Camino's rewards are free and involve no payment from you, so there are no purchase or bookkeeping records to retain for consumer accounts.
